20 arrested in seven different cases

Panaji: Panaji police in two days arrested 20 persons in 7 different cases for allegedly violating the government orders on total lockdown and curfew.

Police said that among those arrested 3 were shopkeepers while others were found moving without valid reasons. The incidents were reported on Wednesday and Thursday.

The state is under lockdown since March 24 midnight banning people movement in an effort to tackle coronavirus disease (COVID- 19).

Police have urged public to stay indoors and shopkeepers to adhere to directions issued by the district collector.
