Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that we all should
accept the unanimous verdict of the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya land dispute
case which was pronounced on Saturday.

Terming the verdict as a “historic judgment”, Sawant
said, “We all should accept the unanimous verdict of the Supreme Court on the
Ayodhya land dispute case and collectively work towards strengthening
brotherhood amongst the communities.”

The Chief Minister expressed happiness that all Goans –
irrespective of religion, caste and creed – have welcomed the SC verdict.

“Section 144 has been imposed in the state, and no
untoward incident has taken place,” Sawant said, adding that he and his office
has been in constant touch with the Director General of Police as well as both
the district collectors.

The Congress said that it respects the SC verdict on the
Ayodhya case, urging all communities to maintain peace and harmony.

“The Congress
party respects the verdict of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case. All
parties concerned and all communities should abide by the secular values and
spirit of fraternity enshrined in our Constitution and should maintain peace
and harmony,” Opposition leader Digambar Kamat said while interacting with
media persons in Panaji.

In a video message shared on WhatsApp, Goa pradesh
Congress committee president Girish Chodankar said, “It feels nice that the
long-pending issue has been finally resolved. The Supreme Court needs to be
thanked because the BJP was making Ayodhya a political issue during every
