Chinchinim panchayat has begun the task to prepare inventory of
available food and essential items even as the panchayat submits list of over
200 senior citizens who need supplies.
The village panchayat has identified 45 senior citizens in Dandea waddo
alone while concerns loom over disruption of supply chain as provisional stores
fail to cope up with panic buying over the announcement of lockdown by the

panchayat has already sent a list of over 200 senior citizens, most of whom

In Sarzora, the village panchayat has identified around 86 senior
citizens even as uncertainty continues over delivery of essential commodities to
the villagers. The sarpanch Sabita Mascarenhas said “We have followed all
instructions but now the people are asking questions over supply of essential
commodities and we have no answers.”
She said the government should have planned well in advance before
taking drastic steps as questions will now arise as to when will the senior
citizens get the essential commodities.
