CM on 3-day visit to New Delhi

Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant left for New Delhi
on Thursday evening. During the three-day visit to the national capital, the
Chief Minister will attend NITI Ayog meeting, which is scheduled to be held on
June 15, and meet central ministers.

A press statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office
said that Sawant will be calling on the Union Minister for Home, the Union
Minister for Mines, the Union Minister for Environment and the Union Minister
for HRD. Hence, the Chief Minister will not be available to the general public
from June 14, 2019, to June 16, 2019.

An official said that during his visit, the Chief
Minister will take up the mining issue with Union Minister for Mines Pralhad
Joshi. Besides, other issues pertaining to the state will also be discussed
with other central ministers.
