Mapusa police arrested owner of general store for disobeying order

Mapusa – Mapusa police arrested an owner of general stores for disobeying order issued in view of lock down by keeping his stores open and endangering life.

Acting on state complaint of Police constable Sandeep Madkaikar, Mapusa police has registered an offence against the owner of general store which is located in Freitaswado at Verla canca. The owner was booked for operating his business in residential area due to which gathering of customers in negligent manner knowing that he is likely to spread infection of diseases dangerous to life of people.

In this connection an offence is registered under section 269, 188 of Indian penal code against Nandakumar Shetgaonkar and arrested him.

On Thursday even video has gone viral wherein accused shopkeeper was seen selling Goa dairy half liter milk packet for RS 50 against actually price of Rs 25 claiming that milk is not available and he has brought for higher price.
