NoMoZo: Porvorim road turns traffic-free for a day

Thousands flocked to Porvorim to have a glimpse of the ‘Big Boss 12′ first runner up and cricketer S Sreesanth and Cricket World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh during the second edition of NoMoZo which was held on the service road on Sunday.
Local MLA Rohan Khaunte was also present.
People of all ages and from different walks of lives took autographs, photographs and selfies with Sreesanth who was forced to jump down the Porvorim promenade and take shelter in his car parked nearby.
Earlier, NoMoZo was inaugurated at the hands of Khaunte by releasing multi-coloured balloons amidst thousands of people gathered to enjoy the ‘Happy feet on a motor free street’.
While many members of public waited patiently to have a glance of the Big Boss 12 runner up Sreesanth and the World Cup hero Yuvraj
Singh.
At the street, it was all fun and frolic for the visitors, there was Indian classical music, Western music and Goan traditional dances, music and big entertainer, Bondo who entertained the crowd with his fine tuning new music with new instrument.
There were games for children, folk music, art dances, and drawing competition over traffic signs and signals organised by Calangute traffic police cell and many children made paintings conveying messages on ‘Never drink or dine on the road,” “wear seat belts” and “Never entertain phone call while driving.”
There were food courts of Goan fish curry rice, snack joints, ice cream parlours, books library and many more. There were children skating besides riding
two-wheelers.
