The Ambassador of Portugal to India, Carlos Jose de Pinho
e Melo Pereira Marques on Friday called on the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in
his office at the Secretariat.
Later, the Chief Minister informed about his meeting with
the Portuguese Ambassador through a Twitter message stating, “Had positive
discussion on technical co-operation between Goa and Portugal on water supply
and waste water management system.”
Pereira Marques is the Portuguese Ambassador to India
since October 2018.
The public works department and the Portuguese
Environment Ministry had signed a memorandum of understanding on water
management last year.
The representatives from both sides, under this MoU, were
to meet every year to review the works carried out under the agreement.
